Mornings

‘Some days are diamonds, some days are stones’ – so the song goes. But it’s true isn’t it? Some mornings we can wake up and know instinctively it’s going to be one of those days when nothing will go right.

You want only to roll over and disappear back into the oblivion of sleep to save you from facing the traumas of the day. But you can’t go back to sleep, you’ve already started worrying about how you’ll survive the hours ahead of you.

Some people can bounce out of bed every morning full of energy, rearing to face the adventures of the day. Sometimes these people just don’t understand others take a while to get their internal motors started.

If you’re one of the early morning ‘bright sparks’, be patient with the early morning ‘grumpies’, because they may well prove to be bright and alert at the end of the day, when the early morning movers and shakers are devoid of energy.

It’s been said it takes all sorts to make a world and fortunately people are different, or it would be a very dull world indeed.

I’m Peter Mack and that’s life.
